Earthquakes can happen at any time with little or no warning. Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington states are prone to earthquakes. It is therefore important to be prepared.

To learn more about what to do before, during and after an earthquake, visit the Federal Emergency Management website www.ready.gov/earthquakes.
